"Forget standard excursions. With Lakazkayak, embark on a 4-hour micro-adventure combining paddling, hiking, and environmental awareness. This unique excursion takes you through the mangroves, into a secret forest, and even to a traditional fishing port. The ultimate reward? A special encounter with wild monkeys and a delicious Mauritian-inspired snack." Activity Itinerary (Detailed Program - 4 hours) The Briefing and Departure (Tamarin River): A warm welcome from your expert guide and a safety briefing on kayaking (beginners welcome). Boarding and beginning of the descent of the Tamarin River. You glide gently on the water, preparing yourself for the adventure. The Forest & Wildlife Immersion: You paddle down the Tamarin River to the Rempart River. Start of the ascent of the Rempart River: your kayak enters the heart of a dense ecosystem. Meditative Experience: Your guide will take you to places where the energy of the forest is so powerful – a truly meditative experience to connect with nature. Wildlife Observation: Encounter and observe local species: ducks, moorhens, little herons, etc., in the tranquility of their habitat. Eco-Responsible Action & the Mangrove: Discover and immerse yourself in the mangrove. Actively participate in environmental preservation by learning how to collect and replant your own mangrove seedling. Gourmet Break & Relaxation: The return trip takes you towards Tamarin Bay Beach. Share a convivial moment over a tasting of local flavors: fresh seasonal fruit juices, crispy samosas, and spicy chili cakes, and enjoy a relaxing swim in the waters of the Indian Ocean. Paddleboarding Initiation (Optional): Try a free introductory Stand-Up Paddleboarding (SUP) session on the calm waters of the bay. Secret Location & The Monkeys: On the return journey, you'll paddle upriver past a place unknown to most: the small port of the local fishermen. An authentic immersion into Mauritian life. Afterward, the guide will take you to the banks of the Tamarin River to experience the power of the forest. Secret Hike: You'll then set off on a walk through the undergrowth to discover monkeys in their natural habitat.
